Extractors WireLine Rod Friction Grip
Our range of WireLine Rod Friction Grip Recovery tools has been designed to recover WireLine Rods without the damage that conversational Rod Taps inflict on the thin wall tubing or internal threads. It consists of an expanding spring type collet arrangement of which was introduced into the WireLine Rod and when activated by turning a small part of a revolution it grips the inside bore of the Rod securely. Then by turning it in the opposite direction it will release the grip.
The special spring type gripping fingers are hard surfaced with tungsten carbide grit for maximum friction grip. This type of recovery tool can be used to recover right hand rods or left handed rods.
Flushing of the borehole maybe continued whilst using the WireLine Rod Friction Grip extractor tool. Please note that these recovery tools are not designed to be rotated and should not be subject to excessive torque. The pull that can be applied for each size are listed and controlled by shear pins fitted in the lowering coupling.
